Mum Swati Verma Mathur’s healthy and delicious recipe for a vegetable porridge:

  • Add 1 cup water to 1 cup pre-cooked rice
  • Add grated carrots, chopped coriander leaves and shredded chicken (optional)
  • Add salt and pepper as per taste
  • Boil all the above together till it becomes thick in consistency
  • Keep aside and let it cool
  • Add some butter before serving
  • You can easily give this to a baby who’s crossed the first birthday
