Mum Shama Desai shares these interesting cooking tips with us that can help you include spinach in your kids’ daily diet plan:

Different ways to use spinach for kids:

  • Boil and grind spinach into a mixture
  • Store this and use whenever required
  • You can make palak rice
  • Knead this mixture with dough to make palak paranthas
  • Use this mixture with grated paneer to make a vegetable





Palak Rice:

  • Wash some rice and keep aside
  • Boil the palak and grind roughly
  • Heat pan
  • Add 1 tbsp oil, 1-2 chopped garlic, some jeera seeds and roast
  • Add onions and roast again for 2 minutes
  • Add the washed rice and palak
  • Add salt as per taste
  • Add haldi powder, a pinch of garam masala
  • Cook till the rice is done
